NUCATS offers a wide range of data analytics and informatics resources and services through its Center for Biomedical Informatics & Data Science. Browse below to learn more.
  • Biostatistics & Research Design
    Access biostatistics expertise for proposal development, study design, data management, statistical analysis and manuscript preparation.
  • Northwestern Medicine Enterprise Data Warehouse
    Access our repository of all clinical and research data sources on campus.
  • REDCap
    This secure, web-based application allows investigators to define and manage their own data collection forms.
  • Feasibility Query Tool
    The i2b2 query tool provides investigators with a way to conduct their own feasibility analysis.
  • Study Tracker
    Study Tracker supports trial enrollment and helps monitor participants as they progress on a study.

Additional Software Tools & Development

Competitions provides tools for investigators, reviewers and administrators to run various types of reviews and competitions, including pilot projects, research awards and reviews.

The Galter Health Sciences Library also has informatics software available for use on library computers and a license to the web-based pathway analysis package GeneGo MetaCore.

Open Source

Systems developed by NUCATS are released as open source projects, meaning that the source code is publicly available for other institutions to view. The source code for these software tools can be found in a few public source code repositories:
